in Iraq. For every one US troop killed, there were 10
Iraqi civilians killed.

IED in Iraq. He died in May, 2006. Alex was her
only child. Gilda and Al Zappala joined JoAnn and
Paula at the meetings with Senators. Their impact

On June 15, Congress had their "debate" about the
occupation of Iraq. They voted to continue the
occupation. Between that date and July 31, there
were 77 US troops killed. Shame on them.

country to help people see the tragic impact of the

On July 24, 2006, MFSO, Bergen County, held a demonstration at the Recruitment Center in Hackensack, NJ. We were calling attention to the fact that, to make recruitment goals, many recruiters are forced to lie.
They promise travel (to Iraq and Afghanistan), education, and more. We all know that so many troops can't even leave the military when their contracts are up.
