He is a US Marine Corps veteran of Vietnam, 1969 – 1970. Walt is blue collar artist and writer of poetry and fiction. His son Joe is a US Army veteran with service in the war in Afghanistan and Iraq. "Costs of War" poem by Jan Barry, calligraphy by Drew Cameron of Combat Papermakers, hand-printed at the Western New York Book Arts Center in Buffalo, NY, on paper made with military uniforms. Poet and author Jan Barry served in the US Army in Vietnam. Drew Cameron, a paper and book artist, served in the Army in Iraq. A Grassroots Exhibition March 15 – April 14 The exhibition of paintings, drawings, sculpture, photographs, poetry, dioramas and posters by veterans and civilians includes Combat Paper artwork by Robynn Murray, featured in the Oscar-nominated film, Poster Girl.
